Look, Ma, I'm all grown up! I had my first day of work today at a full-time job. Aren't you proud of me? I also navigated my commute, which included two different buses and over an hour of my time. Yikes. At least I'll be sure to get my podcast listening and my book reading done this year! My running may suffer in the long run. I did get a quick three miler in before dinner, but I'm a little worried about it.
My first day at work was wonderful. Very comfortable, and not nearly as frightening as I thought it would be. My boss gave me a tour of the building, followed by some paperwork, and then a staff meeting. After lunch, I went with Roger, one of our program associates, to run errands and visit a few tenant houses. I got to meet some of the tenants, which was wonderful.
The best part of the day? Returning from work to housemates, a hot dinner, and a place that feels decidedly like home.
