Living with nine other people is going to take some getting used to. True, we have four bathrooms (sweet!). But we also have different standards of what it means to be "clean," "quiet," "socially just," etc. We also have different Jewish backgrounds and expectations. And we're spending all this week talking, sharing, and deciding what we all want from this year, each other, and ourselves.
The term for this year is "intentional living." I want to learn how to live with intention, to really understand my values and base my life around them.
I just had a wonderful evening with some of my housemates, giggling and sharing pictures over facebook, effortlessly switching from hilarity to serious conversation and back again. All this after a very long couple of days that included long training sessions and goal setting, moving all of our stuff, and choosing rooms. Who's excited for more? Me me me!!!
