Breakfast in Baltimore
Yesterday I had breakfast in Baltimore with Denise, a wonderful family friend who just happened to be in town for work. It was my first time in the city, but I decided to play it cool and travel with my old Italian attitude. In other words, I didn't book ahead, or look anything up. I just woke up at 6:30 and headed to the metro, transferred to Union Station, and hopped on a train to Baltimore...
Penn Station, in Baltimore. It was a quick trip. I didn't even finish reading The Week!
I looked left, I looked right, I tried to figure out which way to go. I asked a taxi driver which way to walk. He looked at me as if I was crazy, and went "We have a free bus! Why would you walk?" "Because it's a beautiful day!" I'm glad I asked for directions. I was about to head in the wrong direction.
Loved all the ironwork.

It was such a beautiful day. Cold, windy, with just a hint of sun. Mmmm.

And pretty soon, I was at the hotel, where Denise and I had a lovely breakfast, after she showered me with birthday gifts. So nice. Thanks, Denise!!! Stay tuned for our adventures around the Inner Harbor and Fells Point...
