Welcome to Chacos in DC

Welcome to my new blog, Chacos in DC. Chacos, of course, refer to my favorite shoes in the whole world. I wouldn't go anywhere without them, so they're coming along with me to DC next year. I hope you follow along too!

I will be working in DC for a year as a member of AVODAH: The Jewish Service Corps. I will be working with an organization called Housing Unlimited, Inc, an award-winning non-profit that helps provide housing to individuals with psychiatric disabilities. I'll also be living in a house full of Jews, learning about social justice and how that connects to my Jewish heritage. It should be an exciting year, and I'm looking forward to it.
